Perl is a highly capable, feature-rich programming language with over 29 years of development. Perl 5 runs on over 100 platforms from portables to mainframes and is suitable for both rapid prototyping and large scale development projects. Originally developed as a general-purpose Unix scripting language to make report processing easier, since then, it has undergone many changes and revisions. Perl 6, which began as a redesign of Perl 5 in 2000, eventually evolved into a separate language. Both languages continue to be developed independently by different development teams and liberally borrow ideas from one another.
Our programmers use Perl mainly for sites and web app expansion, desktop app development and system administration, and test automation that can be applied for testing databases, web apps and networking devices.
